The HOAF WeedAir ® 300 has been specially developed to combat weeds on the Maasboulevard in Rotterdam. With large areas such as ports with wide quays, a wide machine is necessary. By expanding the existing HOAF WeedAir ® 150 with two HOAF WeedAir ® 75 machines, a working width of 3000 mm is created. For example, an area of three meters can be treated in one pass.
A treatment with the HOAF WeedAir ® 300 kills many seeds lying on the ground, making an important contribution to lowering the vegetation pressure.
Heating principle
The weed wilting principle is based on a powerful warm air stream that is transported under the burner hood with the help of an electric fan. The warm air passes through a spark arrester, after which it comes into contact with the weeds. The all-round closed hood ensures minimal heat loss, which significantly reduces the risk of fire damage to the surrounding area.
The HOAF WeedAir ® 300 is an energy-saving machine and only extracts energy when needed. The temperature is sensorically monitored and controlled via a processor. The PLC, which regulates gas consumption, digitally controls the processor.
Ease of use
The burner is connected to the power supply of the tool carrier and can be controlled with a control panel mounted on the tool carrier. For example, the temperature can be read and the three HOAF WeedAir ® burners can be electrically ignited and controlled individually from the cabin.
For transport, the HOAF WeedAir ® 300 can be folded up hydraulically and is therefore easy to transport and store. With five swivel wheels at the front and four swivel wheels at the rear, the machine follows the ground, independent of the tool carrier.
The burner is equipped with a category 1 three-point suspension as standard. The gas supply must be placed separately on the tool carrier. Optionally, we supply various types of tank and bottle frames for this, depending on the tool carrier.
