The HOAF Talud burner has been specially developed to combat weeds on a 30 km long dike along the IJsselmeer. Norwegian boulders and steep dike slopes form an extra difficult obstacle. Combining the existing HOAF burner technology with a folding HOAF Twin Sprite ® creates a machine with a working width of 5000 mm. This lightweight burner is coupled to a boom, making it easy to handle dikes with a depth of up to 13 metres.
A treatment with the HOAF Taludburner kills many seeds lying on the ground, making an important contribution to lowering the vegetation pressure.
Venturi burner
The atmospheric burners of the HOAF Talud burner are equipped with the HOAF venturi burner technology, whereby the burners ensure an optimal gas-air mixture. The combination of venturis and rosettes provide a sharp, powerful flame, which has a great depth effect between the Norwegian boulders. The high capacity of the burner is optimally utilized due to the lower working speed on the dike, so that weeds that are difficult to reach in cracks and folds between stones are easily burned away.
The burner heads are available in various working widths, in this case with a width of 500 mm. By providing the HOAF Talud burner with a protective cover, wind influences are minimized. The protective cover closes the burner mouth properly so that the flame image is not disturbed.
Safe and easy to drive
The HOAF Talud burner is controlled from the cabin with a control panel. It has buttons for the main switch and for switching each burner element on and off and an acoustic fault indicator. Each burner element works individually from each other so that the working width can be adjusted according to the situation. The burners are fitted with a flame safety device. Should the flame of a burner go out in a situation, the fuel supply will stop and the burner will switch itself off.
For transport, the HOAF Taludburner can be folded up hydraulically and is therefore easy to transport and store.
