Privacy statement
HOAF Infrared Technology is responsible for the processing of personal data as shown in this privacy statement. Below you can read which personal data we process about you and why we do this. We recommend that you read this statement carefully. If you have any questions afterwards, you can always contact us.

Personal data that we process
To use our services and website, you leave certain information with us. This may be personal data, but also other data such as click behavior and visitor data (cookies). For the collection and use of these cookies, we refer you to our cookie policy. (Link to cookie policy)
We speak of personal data when it concerns data that provides information about you and with which you are directly or indirectly identifiable to us. Which data we process about you depends on the services you use. You always choose whether and which personal data you send to us. In addition, you can always view, change or delete personal data sent to us.
Below is an overview of personal data that we process:
- First and last name
- Address data
- phone number
- Fax number
- E-mail address
- Bank account number
- Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile, in correspondence and by telephone
- Location data
Personal data that we do not collect
Our website does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age, unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16 years old. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us at e.trienen@nieuweweme.nl and we will delete this information.
Why we process your personal data
Our purposes for which we process personal data are:
- Answering or handling contact or registration forms or emails.
- Calling back in response to a (failed) contact.
- Executing an agreement regarding our goods and/or services.
- Handling the ordering procedure and/or payment for our goods and/or services.
- The delivery of goods and/or services pursuant to an agreement.
- Sending our newsletters and/or advertisements.
- Improving our services and products and/or informing about changes.
- Handling complaints.
- Analyzing behavior on our website in order to improve the website.
- Compliance with legal obligations such as data for tax returns.
- Preventing fraud.
How long do we store personal data?
HOAF does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.
If legal regulations apply to storage, the personal data will not be kept longer than legally prescribed.
Examples of data retention periods based on services:
- Depending on the purpose and content, personal data sent in a contact or registration form or via e-mail will be retained until it has been answered and processed.
- Data collected by Google Analytics after visiting our website is stored for 3 years.
- When you sign up for our digital newsletter, your email address will be saved until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe procedure at the bottom of the newsletter.
- Personal data processed for a quotation and/or agreement relating to our goods and/or services will be retained in our customer base for a longer period of time. We keep your data for a maximum of 2 years if you have not become a customer. If you have become a customer, we are legally obliged to keep the basic data in our administration for 7 years.
Sharing personal data with third parties
HOAF only provides personal data to third parties and only if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of confidentiality and security of your data. HOAF remains responsible for this processing.
View, change or delete personal data
You have the right to view, change or delete the personal data processed about you. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by HOAF. You also have the right to data portability, which means that you can submit a request to have your personal data sent in a computer file to you or an organization mentioned by you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or data transfer of your personal data to e.trienen@nieuweweme.nl. You can also send an email to e.trienen@nieuweweme.nl to withdraw your consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data.
To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (‘Machine Readable Zone’, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
HOAF would like to help you if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. If you are not satisfied, you have the right and the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
How we protect personal data
HOAF takes the protection of your personal data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. This way we ensure that only the necessary people have access to your data, which is sent via a secure connection and stored in a secure database. If you feel that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, we ask you to contact us at e.trienen@nieuweweme.nl.
Changes to the privacy statement
The privacy statement may change from time to time. These changes will be published on our website. We therefore recommend that you check this privacy statement regularly so that you are aware of any changes.
